Saturday 5th March 2011

There will be no sessions at CrossFit Leeds tomorrow morning. We are heading over to CrossFit 3D in Manchester for their charity workout. Please meet at CrossFit Leeds at 8.50am and we will drive over from there.


It's also CrossFit West Yorkshire's Open Day from 12.30 - 4pm. They're running free open to all classes on the hour. Again, let us know if you fancy heading over and we'll try and get a good showing from the CrossFit Leeds athletes.

We are doing this in honour of Adam Chapman’s Dad Gordon who sadly passed away last year. All monies raised will be going to the hospice that helped care for him.


If you can’t make the day, please get involved and do this WOD wherever you may be. If you feel like being generous, we have a donation page that you can leave a few quid, thank you.

Rest Day


Congratulations to our long standing member Andy Ruddick on winning the CrossFit Leeds 30 Day Paleo Challenge. Rudds, who will be opening CrossFit HG3 with Pete Davis this Spring, has maintained a strict Paleo diet (barring a few pieces of gum!) for the full 30 days and has really reaped the benefits. High energy levels, improved performances in training and a reduced body fat percentage have all been apparent throughout the last month for Rudds along with many other members. It's been a great success and I'd like to thank everyone for getting on board and taking on the challenge. Great work all round.


Following on from the post earlier in the week about our members' blogs check out new member Becky's Blog Barefoot Coconut. Excellent reading and a valuable source of info.


Mikko's looking good for the upcoming CrossFit Games Open Qualifiers!!!! CrossFit Leeds will be opting in as an official affiliate to verify your workouts so if you're thinking of competing let us know (members and non members welcome). We want to get as many people competing as possible, regardless of ability - it's all about participation.

Today marks the end of the CrossFit Leeds' 30 Day Paleo Challenge. Congratulations to everyone who took part and well done for (mostly!) sticking with it. I'm really interested to hear peoples' thoughts on the challenge and intrigued to know how it will affect your diet going forward.
