One For The People

On Saturday 15th July 2017 CrossFit Leeds will once again be bringing the community together for a fun and challenging outdoor pairs fitness competition that will test your strength, fitness and teamwork.

Registration went live in January and all Team tickets were sold out within an hour!

2 Categories - Male Pairs and Female pairs

 

Prizes for top 3 Male and Female pairs and top Masters Male and Female Pair.

 

All Day Bar and BBQ

 

There are no qualifiers for this event but we recommend anyone who enters should, as a minimum, be able to complete the CrossFit WOD 'Grace' (30 Clean and Jerks at 60/40kg).

2016 WODs

WOD 1 - Spealler

For time:

Partner A Runs 1000m

Partner B Runs 1000m

 

Time Cap = 16 minutes

 

WOD 2 - Froning

Max reps in 4 minutes:

Hang Squat Clean Thruster 40/60kg (female/male)

 

WOD 3 - Salo

In your pairs and alternating exercises complete AMRAP in 12 minutes:

6 Sandbag Bear Complex 15/22.5kg

12 Bar Facing Burpees

18 Front Rack Sandbag Lunges 15/22.5kg

 

WOD 4 - Pike Air

For time:

Partner A completes 1 round of DT (40/60kg) then sprints 100m with Sandbag 15/22.5kg
Partner B completes 1 round of DT (40/60kg) then sprints 100m with Sandbag 15/22.5kg
Partner A completes 1 round of DT (40/60kg) then Buddy Carries their partner 100m
Partner B completes 1 round of DT (40/60kg) then Buddy Carries their partner 100m

 

1 round of DT is 12 Deadlifts, 9 Hang Power Cleans, 6 Shoulder to Overhead

Time Cap = 10 minutes

FAQs

Can I make changes to my team once registered?

Yes, you can change your team members up to one week before the event. Please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so we can get your details right on the day.

 

Is there a separate Masters Competition?

There are two categories of competition - Male pairs and Female pairs. We will be awarding the highest placing Male and Female Masters Pair on the day. To be eligible as a Masters Team, both partners in the team must be 40+ on the 15th July 2017.

 

What if I can't complete some of the workouts?

Before registering you should make sure you are able to complete the minimum recommended standards and have competency in fundamental fitness exercises. If so, you'll be good to complete all the workouts. If your team is unable to complete a workout for any reason you will finish behind every team that completes that workout but will still be able to continue to compete in any subsequent workouts.
