Open Gym

Train your weakness/Practice skills/Work on mobility/Catch up on a missed workout


Wednesday 4th January 2012

4 rounds:

Pull Ups (weighted) x 5

Rest 90 seconds

Ring Dips x max reps

Rest 90 seconds


5 rounds:

In 2 minutes

10 Deadlifts (choose a heavy weight that you can do unbroken with good form)

15 Press Ups

Max rep Double Unders

Rest 2 minutes between rounds

Hope everyone had an excellent Christmas and fun-filled new year. We're back to our scheduled class timetable from today and looking forward to seeing everyone back at the box enjoying their training.


2012 CrossFit Games

Registration for the 2012 CrossFit Games will open on 1st February 2012. The Open qualifiers for the games are open to everyone and all the workouts will be taking place at CrossFit Leeds beginning on February 22nd. There will be a total of 5 qualifying workouts, one being released each week for 5 weeks, the results of which will determine which individuals and teams go on to compete at the European Regional. Check the CrossFit Games website and speak to the coaches if you want more info about competing.

Our last training session of an outstanding year at the box. Class is on as normal at 10am then Open Gym from 11-12pm. We re-open in the new year on Tuesday 3rd January 2012.


30 minute AMRAP:

In teams of 4 with only 2 people working at once accumulate as many points as possible doing the following WODs:

1) 50 Squat Jumps 20/15kg - 3 points

2) Row 750m - 4 points

3) 3 rounds: 10 KB Swings/10 Box Jumps - 3 points

4) 50 Burpee Pull Ups - 4 points

5) 3 rounds: 5 Wall Climbs/15 Wall Ball - 5 points

6) 5 rounds of Cindy - 4 points

7) 400m Sandbag Run - 4 points

8) Fran - 7 points
